2. Products and specifications

ARS manufactures and supplies aluminium rainwater systems and associated products, including guttering, downpipes, hoppers, fascia, soffits, cladding, coping and fabricated components.

Product specifications, available options and prices are displayed on the website.

Customers are responsible for checking their selected product dimensions, quantities, finishes and other specifications before completing an order.

Where an order involves customer-supplied measurements or bespoke requirements, we may contact the customer to clarify the details before manufacturing begins.

3. Orders and payment

Orders placed through the website are subject to acceptance by ARS.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received an order. We may contact the customer if further information is required before confirming acceptance.

Online orders must be paid through the payment methods available at checkout.

For separately quoted commercial or installation work, payment arrangements will be agreed directly with ARS.

If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact the customer and arrange an appropriate refund of any payment received for goods we cannot supply.

4. Pricing and VAT

Product prices are displayed exclusive of VAT, with applicable VAT calculated and shown separately before payment.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed during checkout.

We aim to ensure that website pricing and product information are accurate. If a material pricing error is identified before an order is accepted, we will contact the customer to confirm whether they wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

5. Manufacture and lead times

Many ARS products are manufactured to order.

Manufacturing and delivery lead times are estimates unless a specific date has been expressly agreed.

Customers should not arrange installation contractors or other dependent work until their goods have been received and checked.

6. Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection arrangements are explained in our Delivery & Collection Information policy.

Customers must provide accurate delivery details and ensure that suitable access is available where required.

Some products may require specialist delivery because of their dimensions, weight or quantity.

Collection is available by prior arrangement once the order is confirmed ready.

7. Cancellations and returns

Cancellation and return arrangements depend on the nature of the order and whether the customer is purchasing as a consumer or for business purposes.

Eligible consumer purchases are subject to applicable statutory cancellation rights.

Genuinely bespoke or personalised goods may be exempt from the standard change-of-mind cancellation right.

Please see our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy for further information.

8. Damaged or faulty goods

Customers should inspect goods promptly after delivery and contact ARS if anything is damaged, faulty, missing or incorrect.

We may request photographs and order details to assist our investigation.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts statutory rights relating to faulty goods, goods that are not as described or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Ownership and risk

Ownership of goods passes to the customer once ARS has received payment in full, subject to applicable law.

For consumer deliveries arranged by ARS, responsibility for the goods generally passes when the consumer, or a person identified by them other than the carrier, takes physical possession.

Different risk arrangements may apply to business contracts where expressly agreed.

10. Installation and suitability

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended application and are installed in accordance with applicable technical requirements.

Where professional installation is necessary, we recommend using a suitably qualified installer.

Installation services quoted separately by ARS may be subject to additional project-specific terms.

11. Guarantees

Product guarantees may vary depending on the product and the terms supplied with it.

Customers should follow relevant installation, maintenance and cleaning instructions and retain proof of purchase.

Any manufacturer's or ARS guarantee is additional to, and does not replace, statutory consumer rights.

12. Business customers

Where goods are purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes, additional or separately agreed commercial terms may apply, including provisions relating to payment, cancellation, storage, delivery and liability.

Any agreed commercial terms must be read alongside these website terms.

13. Liability

ARS is not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or are not caused by a breach of our obligations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Nothing in these terms affects statutory consumer rights.

14. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
